Seeking Adult Volunteers to help strengthen the lives of America’s youth.

Big Bend Young Marines has been strengthening the lives of America’s youth in Tallahassee for nearly 20 years. The current unit commander, James Burke, is retiring from his volunteer service to the Big Bend Young Marines, creating a vital need for adult volunteers to pick up the mantle and carry this unit forward.

Big Bend Young Marines meets at:

Navy Operations Support Center
2910 Roberts Ave.
Tallahassee, FL 32310

The Young Marines is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) youth education and service program for boys and girls, aged eight through high school graduation. The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members. The program focuses on teaching the values of leadership, teamwork, and self-discipline, so its members can live and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

Units are led by dedicated adult volunteers who mentor and guide youth members. It is through these caring adults that Young Marines learn the values of honor, courage, and commitment.
